About-DACA-Waterfall-mouth-opening.jpg

Our story

DACA promotes the use of law to facilitate recovery, not punish the user, with an emphasis on early intervention and drug-use exiting processes as the priority.

We are a group dedicated to assisting the public to find up-to-date, objective, well-researched  information, that you can trust.

DACA believes that:

  • the seriousness of our drug-abuse problem necessitates urgent and sustained efforts to educate, restrict, proscribe and treat drug users;

  • there is overwhelming scientific evidence that marijuana should be regarded and treated as a dangerous and harmful drug;

  • that evidence from the families of users of the destructiveness of marijuana use has been ignored or under-rated by researchers and those pushing for its legalization;

DACA opposes:

  • the notion that there is a safe use of illicit drugs for so called ‘recreational’ use

  • the notion that illegal drugs should be normalised in Australia

  • the legalisation or decriminalisation of known illicit drugs
